Graphic Tee: J.Crew, sld (similar here and here) // Boyfriend Jeans: Target, old (similar, love these) // Leather Jacket: Forever XXI // Heels: Windsor // Necklace: Express // Lip: Bite Beauty in Strangefruit (new FAV brand!!)

Sorry I have been M.I.A.! I could come up with a lot of excuses for my absence, but the truth is blogging just took a backseat for a little while (okay…a long while) but I for one am the happiest to be back at it. We just got back from an awesome trip to Las Vegas, Laughlin, and Arizona to see both of our families. As much as I loved seeing everyone I am sure glad to be home in the Midwest. Home. That feels good to say! We were promptly greeted with 94% humidity when we stepped off the plane but I honestly wouldn’t go back to the dry heat of the Southwest. The one good thing about that humidity…cool summer nights. I also have my trusty leather jacket with me for such occasions. And even though temps have reached the 90s, I still reach for my boyfriend jeans. The looser fit seems to make them just as cool as my shorts.

Chambray shirt: AE // Distressed skinnies: Kensie Jeans // Gladiator sandals: Target // Statement necklace: Just Fab, old (similar)

I don’t want to jinx anything but I think spring has finally sprung in the Midwest. Mother nature took her sweet time but it just makes me appreciate these days so much more. Maybe, she was trying to teach me a lesson! We took full advantage of the sunshine and went on a very nice walk, with an iced mocha of course. I wanted to be comfortable and these jeans are the epitome of comfort…and style! Thanks to a suggestion from Katelyn, a fellow (and fabulous) Iowa fashion blogger, I ordered these distressed skinnies and could not be happier with them! Thank you again, Katelyn! Good basics are key to building outfits and I can finally cross this item off my list.
